Musicians
Thomas Leech, our Musical Director since 2008, enjoys a reputation as an outstanding and inspirational choral director, combining this with frequent appearances as a guest conductor and workshop leader.
Community
We exist for the community as well as our members and audiences and invest in a range of wider activities including our Learn to Sing courses, Come and Sing events and support Bradford Friendship Choir. Our new 2020 project aims to increase access to choral music for younger people.
About us
Bradford Festival Choral Society was founded in 1856 following the opening of St George’s Hall and the inaugural Bradford Musical Festival. 162 years later we are still going strong, committed to musical excellence and to the experience of our members and audiences!
BFCS 2020
We are coming towards the end of our BFCS 2020 project, a first step in broadening the diversity of both our choir and audiences. We’ve been delighted to increase the number of younger singers and audience members, building an exciting future for choral music in Bradford.
Ordering TicketsTickets for all events organised by BFCS can be securely purchased via Ticket Source. It is also often possible to buy tickets via a member of the choir, or to buy them on the door. Booking information for other concerts will be available a few months before the event.
