From Elgar’s great masterpiece ‘The Dream of Gerontius’ to a beguiling summer concert of English lute songs and Latvian magic, our 2017-18 season is full of great music for audiences and singers alike.
Why not make 2018 the year you join our friendly and exciting choir and experience the power of choral music? Rehearsals take place in St Peter’s Church hall (Saltaire) every Wednesday during term time, 7.30-9.30pm.
Thomas Leech, our Musical Director since 2008, enjoys a reputation as an outstanding and inspirational choral director, combining this with frequent appearances as a guest conductor and workshop leader.
BFCS has always aimed to foster music appreciation in the wider Bradford community. In the 21st century this means appealing to a diverse range of people who never imagined they would be interested in either choral singing or classical music! (photo: Welcome to Yorkshire)

Bradford Festival Choral Society was founded as a direct result of the opening of St George’s Hall in 1853, when a massed choir of over 200 singers from far and wide was formed for the first Bradford Musical Festival.
