Bradford Festival Choral Society is Bradford's premier choir. Established in 1856, we number around 100 voices, making us one of the largest choirs in the district.

Singing around 4 concerts a year in St George's Hall and Bradford Cathedral, we perform a varied repertoire from the established classics to new works. This includes an annual performance of Handel's Messiah. Other highlights of recent years have included Mendelssohn's Hymn of Praise, Fauré Requiem and Rutter's Mass of the Children.

BFCS is always looking for new members to join us at our rehearsals in St Peter's Church Hall, Moorhead Lane, Shipley. Visit the Sing with Us section of our website to find out how to join.

Visit the About Us Section of our website for more information about the choir.

BFCS members are joining forces with the Halifax Choral Society for their Summer Concert on Saturday 20th June - 7.30pm - Victoria Theatre, Halifax - featuring Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. See Concerts page for more details...

We are committed to promoting music making across Bradford and engage in a number of singing projects throughout the district, including Come and Sing events and working with local children and schools.

BFCS is always looking for new members to join our high quality and friendly choir.

We rehearse in St Peter's Church Hall, Moorhead Lane, Shipley on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.
