Forthcoming Events

Following our packed-out return to St George’s Hall in April 2023 and our beautiful evening of choral music at Bradford’s Ukrainian Centre in the summer, we look forward to our 2023-2024 season. We start with Will Todd’s Mass in Blue and music by Duke Ellington, Anna Thorvaldsdottir and a world premiere by Lillie Harris, followed by our hugely popular Christmas concert with the award-winning Rothwell Temperance Band.
In March 2024 we return to St George’s Hall with the Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra for Mendelssohn’s epic oratorio – Elijah.
Tickets for all events organised by BFCS can be purchased through Ticket Source. Head to Bradford Theatres website for St George’s Hall tickets.

Come and Sing workshop – Elijah

February 24 @ 10:00 am - 7:00 pm

- £25

Embrace the thrill of choir in our vocal workshop.  In an informal and relaxed atmosphere, BFCS Musical Director Thomas Leech, will take us through Mendelssohn’s masterpiece, joined in the afternoon by our celebrity guest, Artistic Director of Gabrieli Consort, Paul McCreesh, as well as guest expert vocal coaches:

  • Eleonore Cockerham, soprano, previously singing with the world-famous vocal ensemble VOCES8
  • Alex Kyle, conductor, singer and expert vocal coach.

Some music-reading ability and choral experience will ensure you get the most out of the day but is not essential.

See what we can achieve in just 1 day!

Do book your friends and family in for our informal performance at 6pm – they’ll be in for a treat.

An edition specially prepared by Paul McCreesh for his recording with Gabrieli will be used for the day – these are provided to borrow for the workshop, included in the price. We will be working on all of the choruses from this oratorio in the workshops, and performing a selection of these, together with some of the arias, in the informal performance.

There is no dress code.
