An amazing – moving – intriguing variety of choral music awaits in our summer concert.
Join us to explore a choral universe from ancient medieval pilgrimage songs to the whirling dance rhythms of Reena Esmail’s TaReKiTa. We continue our commitment to programming music by women with wonderful music by Fanny Hensel, Clara Schumann, Lili Boulanger and Reena Esmail, visit the star-soaked atmosphere of Ēriks Ešenvalds‘ Only in sleep, Stars and Morten Lauridsen’s Sure on this shining night, look ahead to our 23-24 programming with an extract from Will Todd’s Mass in Blue, and include choral classics by Handel and Mozart.
We’re delighted to be joined by Ukrainian soprano Sveta Riadchenko, pianist Anthony Gray, and percussionist Sophie Mullender.
Bradford’s Ukrainian Centre is a gem, set in beautiful grounds perfect for a summer’s evening. The venue has disabled access. The bar will be open during the interval and after the concert.
