BFCS’s 2019-2020 season is full of contrasting delights, drama and passion. In November we perform a brilliant musical drama by Paul Mealor (whose music was performed at Prince William’s wedding) alongside John Rutter’s Gloria; December brings Christmas Old and New; in March we perform one of classical music’s greatest masterpieces, Bach’s St Matthew Passion and in summer, we bring you Faith, Passion and Betrayal, featuring Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas.
Reduced ticket prices for groups of 5 or more, and FREE for people under 30 or on a low income.

We perform one of the greatest masterpieces of classical music, with a team of outstanding soloists, the brilliant Baroque in the North orchestra and Bradford Catholic Youth Choir. The work is sung in a new English translation by Andrew Greenan and John Longstaff, giving both the drama and reflection a new and immediate impact. Consoling faith, tempestuous passion and fatal betrayal - it's all in our summer concert, held in the beautiful surroundings of Bradford's Ukrainian Cultural Centre. Diderich Buxtehude was a giant of the early Baroque - the young Bach walked over 200 miles to hear him direct his famous concerts in Lubeck.
